This time-honored art form has been around for a thousand years. The traditional stained glass technique uses lead "came", a slender, grooved lead rod. The process, in use since the 9th century, involves embedding pieces of glass into the channels of the came, and then soldering the
joints between the lead strips.
Such work requires exacting construction methods.
